She remained the leading actress in Odia Film Industry for quite a long period in her illustrious career, spanning over 30 years. Life & Career
Aparajita Mohanty born in 15 May 1965 at Sambalpur, Odisha, India. She is the wife of Odia actor Uttam Mohanty and mother of actor Tanmay Mohanty (Babushan).
She was captivated with music, drama in her infancy days that conjures up her to create career in Odia Film Industry. She shifted her base to Bhubanswar and debuted in Sita Lavakusha in 1981. On 21 February 2014, she entered into politics. She joined Indian National Congress (INC). Her grandfather Subhan Ali Khan was a minister long ago. She might have her political inspiration from him.
Aparajita’s father belongs to Bhadrak, a Muslim by religion and her mother was a Hindu. Thus, Aparajita has same feelings for these two religions. This love and admiration from her fans got her ETV Priya Odia 2009 Award.
She acted in two tele serials named as Panat Kani and Bada Ghara Bada Gumara Katha.
