Plot: Adikanda babu has been retired from job. He often goes to have a chat with Binod babu, the station master of a small nearby railway station. His childhood friend Judu who went to city for treatment and to meet his son, tells him that he looked for suitable groom for Niru.

Niru, Sandhya & Beena are teachers in the village school. Sandhya & Beena have rented a house at village a stay together. The three have good friendship. Ashok who is the native of Sandhya's village often visits her. This creates a misunderstanding among villagers regarding their relationship. Subsequently the school management asks Sandhya to resign. Sandhya succumbs to pressures and ready to resign. She readies to leave for her own village in hope that she will get a job at the newly opened elementary school there. Niru gets upset knowing all this. Sandhya becomes upset knowing that Niru's marriage proposal didn't materialise.
The climax shows an astrolger brings a fresh proposal for Niru's marriage. The grandma tells "Hope this time the marriage is fixed".
